Best Ab Workout For Men

Best Ab WorkoutBeing sort of a “fitness freak” I am always on the lookout for the best ab workout for men.  I have six pack abs, and want it to stay that way.  I have spent a lot of time, money and research on what helps someone get and keep a six pack.  I feel like washboard abs are the most important and desirable outcome of any workout routine.

In trying loads of different diets, supplement regimens, and workout routines, the most honest, truthful material I have found on the subject is The Fat Burning Furnace.  They give you the honest, straight up truth about about the best ab workout routine, diet foods, working your obliques, and subjects specific to men and women and the differences in their physiologies.   They really break it down and lets you know the “why” of your workout and diet, not just the “what”.  It really is a comprehensive book that can help to get that elusive, sexy six pack.

Some of the things they share in this book are things NOT to do.  Here is an example:

With any exercise or nutrition program, you’ll probably lose some fat initially, but far too often the progress doesn’t continue or doesn’t come as fast as the person would like because they’re using a temporary mindset.  They’re only focused on the short term and one specific goal.  So they end up switching to something else, and the cycle continues until they’ve become consumed by this cycle of confusion.

I believe that this is one of the biggest, if not the #1 reason for the lack of fat loss and fitness progress that is being experienced by the masses of exercisers and dieters in the world.  They are jumping from one fad diet or exercise routine to another, while losing sight of what’s really important, and what really works.

Simply put, they are exercising far too much, not nearly intensely enough, and trying to adhere to unrealistic diet recommendations.

A picture of me showing off my six pack.

Seriously this is the best abdominal workout for men that I have found so far.  It’s not too hard, but more importantly it produces the greatest results for the effort put into it.  I also like how it is easy to read and the instructions are easy to follow.  Just look at my picture on the left.  I finally look like I have always wanted to and I maintain this look easily using these exercises.   I recommend Fat Burning Furnace to all my readers, it’s definitely worth the read and worth trying out for yourself.  I am gonna check with them and see if they will let me share a little bit more of it on here with you guys in the future, but if I wereyou, I would go ahead and pick it up.  If you want get a steady flow of advice on how to get a six pack, sign up for my mailing list on the right of the page!

How to Get A Sixpack

How to get a sixpack? Is it to perform hundreds of sit-ups a day? Is the secret to starve yourself in order to eliminate the layer of fat that covers up your stomach muscles? While diet and exercise indeed are importance, one can be thankful that neither of these extremes are necessary. Instead, the best to get a sixpack is to set up a routine that can be followed on a consistent basis.

The truth of the matter, however, is that everyone has a sixpack. It is simply how the muscles form in the midsection. When wondering how to get a sixpack, the real question is how to get the sixpack to show up. The answer is twofold: in order to get your sixpack muscles to appear, you must make them bigger and eliminate whatever prevents them from being seen (that is, fat).

Those who have always thought that crunches are the best way of how to get a sixpack will be happy to know that they probably do not need to change their routines. In fact, crunches are still one of the best exercises to build up the muscles. However, one of the biggest mistakes that can be made is to avoid adding crunches to a regular workout. Unless the abs are built into the every day routine, then you will always be wondering how to get a sixpack. However, by adding crunches (and, most importantly, doing the correctly) to your regular routine, the abs will begin to get stronger, increase in size, and begin to appear.

However, one must also lose the layer of fat that covers up their abs. This is the most important part of how to get a sixpack. Without the elimination of this layer, the abs will never be visible. In fact, many people have a solid set of muscles in their midsection, but they have too much covering them. In other words, they have washboard abs, but a layer of laundry covers them!

Therefore, the true secret of how to get a sixpack is to build up the muscles of the stomach and lose the fat that covers them. While everyone has these muscles, the real secret is getting them to show up. To build up the muscles, one should add crunches to their every day exercise routines. More importantly, one must eliminate the layer of fat that covers them. In doing so, the secret of how to get a sixpack becomes a very easy process.

While it is easy to break down the process into a simple two step process, some are still caught in the mystery of what exercises to perform and how to eliminate the fat in the midsection. To find the most effective ways to build up the abdominal muscles and the fastest ways to lose the fat around the stomach, read How to Get A Sixpack.

Learn How To Get Sixpack Abs By Eating The Right Foods

What many people do not understand about getting sixpack abs is that it is not all about special workouts and never ending exercise regimes. It goes without saying that you are not going to get well defined stomach muscles without giving them a bit of exercise, but that is not the starting point and exercise alone will never give you the torso of your dreams unless you get your diet right first.

The key to getting a good sixpack is to get rid of the layer of fat around your belly area. The amount of fat people have to get rid of will vary a lot, but the starting point is always the same. This unwanted tissue can be very stubborn and many people struggle with it for years without success. This does not mean that it is impossible, it simply confirms that the vast majority of us have no idea how to effectively get rid of unwanted fat.

The key to losing this layer so that your muscle definition can be revealed is to get your diet right. That might sound too simple and you are probably thinking that it means you have to starve yourself, but it does not. By getting your diet right, I mean eating the right foods at the right times in the right combination to bring about changes in your body’s metabolism so that you start burning fat much more quickly.

What you want your body to do is use your stored fat as its first source of energy. Your body needs energy to get you through your daily routine each day, and what you need to do is make sure that the first place your body goes to for that energy is your stored layer of fat. People using starvation diets, low carb or low fat diets can bring about all sorts of other changes, which are often detrimental to actually losing fat. In some instances you will even get muscle wastage, which is the last thing you want when you are trying to develop sixpack abs.

As well as making sure you eat the right foods and combine them in appropriate ways and at the right frequencies, you also need to know which foods to avoid at all costs. This is not as obvious as you may think, and you may be surprised at which apparently healthy foods will actually prevent you burning fat effectively.

Only by bringing about this switch in the metabolism of your body can you hope to burn off the layer of fat covering your abdominal muscles. This is the vital first step in building good sixpack abs and any efforts you put into exercising and workouts will be largely wasted if you do not get this in place first.

There are a few people who have perfected this principle and who have developed their own precise systems, based on the knowledge of eating to burn fat. It is important not to waste your time with exhausting exercise routines however specialised they claim to be, if you are not paying attention to losing fat tissue first. Choose a system that clearly states that it is based on these sound principles and you will be well on your way to a perfect six pack. Any tried and tested system that works on this principle will offer a full money back guarantee, because they know that anyone who follows this process will get the results they want.

You can find recommendations for some of the best systems to help you get a six pack fast on the author’s website. K Garrow has various websites offering useful information, and as well as finding out about the right diet for a six pack you can also learn about dieting to lose weight and other related issues.

How to Get a Ripped Lean Sixpack Without Stepping in the Gym

If you’re looking to get a sixpack and you’re starting your journey in the gym then you probably will never get one. There’s three main reasons why the gym is the wrong place to start. First, the fuel you’re putting in your fuel tank. Second how often your re-fueling. And last, when you’re putting the fuel in your fuel tank. After reading this article you will be able to start to burn fat and build lean muscle outside of the gym.

The truth is if you’re in the gym and you haven’t eaten properly you’ll either work out poorly or you’ll run out of steam before you get the benefits of a good work.

Here are the three best ways to eat and to fuel your body.

1. Eat whole fresh foods. What I mean by that is fresh leafy vegetables like broccoli brussels sprouts or cauliflower and organically raised hormone free meat. Stay away from refined sugar in products such as soda, pastries and so-called health food. This is a basic but not everybody knows this.

2. Eat six meals a day. You want to train your body to not feel like it’s starving. And the best way to do this is to eat six small meals a day. When your body feels like it’s starving or you’re eating three big meals a day you’re training your body to store fat. Prepare your meals all at once, a week before and stick them in the freezer. This will keep you from the hassle of having to prepare meals every day.

3. When you should start eating. Just like your mom said breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Here’s why. Eating breakfast gets your metabolism started and by doing that lets your body relax and not think it’s going to starve for the day. The truth is when your body thinks food is plentiful it won’t store is much fat on your stomach. And this is a good thing.

So eat the right foods, eat it often and eat breakfast.

The truth is everyone is a bit different and it may not work for you, but I encourage you to take a look at my blog Fat Burning Kitchen Reviews for more secrets.

Why They No Longer Call Him Joe Sixpack!

Bad economic times?

Not everywhere!

Although unemployment is at 11% and the dollar is weak against most foreign currencies there are still many people making real good money. I am not talking about the Wall Street fat cats and the excessive pay CEOs of huge corporations make… I am talking about your average Joe Sixpack.

Joe was used to getting up in the morning at six, downing a cup of coffee grabbing some toast and heading off to the job site. Unfortunately the job sites not there for Joe anymore due to the recession.

So what does Joe do?

Joe looks at alternatives and one of the alternative he looks at is Internet marketing.

The reason Joe looks at Internet marketing is because it’s inexpensive to get into, very profitable and gives Joe the freedom to still work on the jobsite when there is work there. Joe found that by partnering with eBay, the massive online auction website, he could make a real nice living by working from his home.

At first Joe started selling things he had lying around the house that he and his family no longer used. But then Joe discovered the wonderful world of the drop shipping business and now Joe is no longer Joe Sixpack… they now call him Joe Champagne.

How did Joe go from natty light to the finest bubbly?

He found several wholesale drop shipping companies that showed him how to make the big bucks on the Internet. They explained the process to advertise properly, they offered free consultation and advertising copy, they explained how to make money using eBay and they did it all for free.

Joe learned how to take advantage of their training and expertise he could again provide for his family and for his future retirement.

Now that’s what I call the American dream.

If you are looking to start an eBay Business or if you are interested in working for a major US based company, go to my website which offers information on employment, employment tips and online job applications for many major companies.

Abs Workouts – Three of the Most Effective Exercises For Getting a Sixpack

Anyone who wants to get a sixpack should know that it is actually be crucial to reduce the layer of fat covering up your abdominals in order to show them off. However, at the same time it is also important to have a good ab routine to build up your abdominal muscles in order to define them as well. As such, here are three top exercises for abs workouts.

One of the best would be hanging knee raises. This type of exercise will require the use of a bar and so if you do not have one installed you should get one within your home, possibly between a door frame. All you need to do is grab the bar with both hands and then lift your knees all the way up to your chest. This is a fantastic exercise for the lower abdominals and, while your body may be swinging around at first, soon you will get used to holding your body and position and focusing on the lower abs.

It is also a good idea to do reverse crunches. These are simply regular crunches done in reverse, but are a lot more effective. You should lie down on the ground and have your legs straight up in the air. Then bend your knees to 90 degrees and gradually bring your knees towards your chest. When you get there, push back out again to the starting position slowly and this will count as one repetition. These are very good at focusing on the upper abdominals.

You should also try regular Swiss ball crunches. Crunches in general are not overly effective and you will need to therefore make these more intense by using an exercise ball. By using an exercise ball you will be able to focus on different areas of your sixpack and will have a much greater range of movement, making the exercise more intense.

Certainly, those who simply focus on regular crunches and situps will not be able to get the same definition as those who frequently do more intense exercises such as these.

By focusing on these three, you should get a great all-around workout for your midsection.

Getting Rid of All That Belly Fat and Get Yourself That Sixpack

Most people will tell you that they are content with their body. However when asked about their stomach area they will tell you that there is room for improvement and like most people, you will also have this problem. Your body can store fat in about every place you can think of on the outside and the inside. The areas that are most efficient at doing so however are the abdominal area (in men mostly) and the thighs and hips (mainly in women).

Where you store fat most efficiently is controlled by hormones. When your hormones are out of balance so will your fat storage be. A connection between abdominal fat and hormones has recently been discussed a lot in the media. One hormone in particular causes an increase in the storage of fat in the abdominal area namely: cortisol. An increased level of this hormone leads to increased storage of fat in the abdominal area.

The other way around also goes: people with a lot of abdominal fat probably will also have high cortisol levels.

High cortisol levels aren’t healthy for several reasons. However for the sake of this article let’s stay focused on the effect it has on your abdominal area. The obvious thing to do is to decrease your cortisol levels in order to get rid of that fat.

Decreasing your cortisol however isn’t done by just taking some pills. Ignore those ads on TV selling you anti-cortisol pills. The pills don’t work and even if they did work (which they don’t) do you want to put all sorts of chemicals in your body and influence your hormones in an unnatural way? I wouldn’t! And even if the pills were healthy and did work, couldn’t you use the money for better purposes. Wouldn’t it be better to find a solution that burns fat and influences your hormones in a positive way? Sounds too good to be true? All you have to do is find another hormone which fights cortisol.

And the winner is! Human Growth Hormone.

Human Growth Hormone is naturally produced in the pituitary gland in the brain. This hormone as is stated in the name regulates the growth pattern of humans. It also has several other functions. The most useful in battling abdominal fat is influencing cortisol levels in the human body. In other words if you want to decrease your cortisol levels you just need to produce more growth hormone. All you need to know is how to get your body to produce more growth hormone.

The easiest way to do this is to exercise your body in the right way. Particular types of exercises are very efficient in making your body produce more growth hormone. The production of growth hormone however is induced indirectly. Growth hormone is produced under influence of certain substances and one of those substances is lactic acid.

Lactic acid is a waste product. It is produced when training under intense circumstances. You can feel the effects of lactic acid as muscle ache the next day. To increase the production of this lactic acid you will have to train in a very specific way. The more lactic acid you can produce during training the more growth hormone your pituitary gland will produce. The increased levels of growth hormone will then lower your cortisol levels and battle your abdominal fat. Ok how do I do that? Well that’s easy. Lactic acid is formed when doing intense workouts. However it can also be done by training your muscles in a specific way. It is even possible to produce more lactic acid this way than with other exercises.

Guess what it’s called? Yes you guessed right: “Lactic acid training”. The main principle involves slow lifting and fast lowering. In bodybuilding terms a slow concentric (positive) and a fast eccentric (negative) movement. This principle works because lifting or executing the concentric part of your exercise produces the most lactic acid.

To increase the effectiveness of this method you need to elongate the duration of the concentric part of your exercise and decrease the duration of the eccentric part.

Let’s put that in numbers for you. The lifting should take about 4 to 6 seconds and the lowering should take as little time as possible without breaking anything (that means body parts or surroundings). In the case of squatting you will have to drop fairly quickly and lift up slowly to a standing position.

When doing a press you’d have to lower the barbell fairly quickly without hurting yourself of course and lift during a period of 4 to 6 seconds. Doing your workouts in this manner will produce loads of lactic acid, which in turn will increase the production of growth hormone and ultimately help you get rid of all that ugly belly fat.

Furthermore lactic acid training is a good way to burn fat in general. So when you add it all up you get a very effective fat burning workout that focuses on the abdominal area through influencing your cortisol levels.

Making the Most of Your Workout Routines

With life being as busy as it is, you want to make sure every workout counts, right? The following suggestions will maximize the effectiveness of your workout program:

Mix it up. If you perform the same exercises day after day, your body will get used to them and will no longer be as challenged. If you switch up your exercise program, you’ll challenge your muscles in a new way, which will result in more calories burned and more muscle built.

Challenge yourself as time goes by. If you push yourself too hard right away, you won’t be motivated to workout the next day. You’ll also put yourself at risk of injury. Increase your level of exercise as you progress, always seeking that level of moderate soreness. If you aren’t sore at all, you’re not pushing hard enough. If you need painkillers, you went too far.

Get training where needed. Always ask for help when using new equipment in the gym. Get advice on aerobic exercise and proper form as well; it can save you from injury later.

Take precautions so you won’t injure yourself. This is one more reason to develop a love for several different sports–you’ll prevent yourself from wearing out your joints or building muscle in one area but neglecting another. You’ll want to engage in at least three different types of exercise each week, for example, biking, kickboxing, and playing tennis.

An ideal exercise program consists of both cardio exercise and resistance training. Ideally, you’ll want to lift weights at least twice a week and perform aerobic exercise three to five days a week. Give yourself rests between weight lifting days so your muscles can rebuild, and challenge yourself during cardio workouts by doing intervals.

For that most desired but ever elusive six pack, you want to make sure you do the obliques at least twice a week.  You also want to mix a good amount of running/jogging/walking in there, because this helps the core as well.  Just make sure to stay hydrated and always consult your physician before starting any exercise regimen.

Sit-Ups or Crunches?

Man Doing A SitupOne question that has been around almost as long as working out is: “Which is the best ab workout for men, situps or crunches?”  The truth is, neither constitutes a complete ab workout routine.  Even when you do side crunches to target obliques it should be part of a larger workout program.  But to answer the question of which of the two is the most effective ab workout for men we will break them down and directly compare.

The traditional sit-up (sitting all the way up) really works what are called the psoas muscles more than the abdominals.  These are the muscles connecting the vertebrae to the thighs.  While it is ok to work them, it can also be harmful to the lower lumbar.

The crunch focuses solely on the abdominals by only engaging those muscles.  Therefore, if this is part of your ab workout routine, crunches are the best choice for ab workouts to get a six pack.
